If you already play Angry Birds Friends on Facebook, your scores using the mobile app will be synced across to Facebook. You can invite friends to join in with Angry Birds Friends and even send them gifts through the app. Once you've signed into your Facebook account and agreed to link it with Angry Birds Friends, all of your friends who are competing are shown in a leaderboard on the right of the screen, allowing you to see how many points they attained on the current level and where you relate.
The online element of Angry Birds Friends is clear to understand. These appear as icons along the top and can be activated simply by tapping them. There are five tutorial levels (which must be completed) at the start, which walk you through the basics but the only thing different to you might be the power-ups - unless you've played the Facebook version of Angry Birds Friends before. Instead of making you play through a series of levels until you finish the game, the levels in Angry Birds Friends are updated with new ones every week. Though the gameplay is the same as Angry Birds, the format of Angry Birds Friends is very different. Just like the Facebook-only version of Angry Birds Friends, the game includes some special power-ups that help you in your quest, such as laser-sighted catapults, turbo-charged birds and the ability to make piggies tremble so they fall over.
